Your guide will pick you up early in the morning and provide briefing on your upcoming safari. We then proceed to a rich tropical forest in Uganda, Kibale National park. The park provides shelter to roughly around 70 mammal species including chimpanzees, as well as over 375 species of birds.

Today, we will make our way to Queen Elizabeth National Park via fort portal town and have our lunch in the bush or peninsula of Mweya. In the afternoon, you will have your first taste of safari experience as we traverse through the bushes of her royal majesty, Queen Elizabeth National Park. Here you can see hippos, leopards, elephants, lions, and Chimpanzees among other 95 species of mammals and over 500 species of birds.

You will go on a morning game drive after breakfast. You will get to see tree-climbing lions found in the southern area of the park lazily lying up on the branches of the huge fig trees. After lunch, we proceed to Mweya peninsula for a boat trip through the Kazinga Channel. Here you will see wildlife along the banks of the channel including buffalo, elephants, birds, and hippos.

We depart for Bunyaruguru to enjoy wonderful views of lush tea, fruit plantations and the Rwenzori Mountains. Finally, we will drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda where another amazing game drive adventure awaits.

After breakfast, we set out for Gorilla tracking. The starting point is only 10 minutes away from the accommodation and we begin with a brief orientation at the Gorilla Briefing Centre. For this activity, each group will have 8 participants with an assigned guide. As a team, you will venture into the forest for a once in a lifetime Gorilla tracking experience.

In the afternoon, we depart for Lake Bunyonyi and enjoy the relaxing scenery as we cross the lake. Because this lake is a lowland area, you have the chance to see this beauty from the top of the hills. In the evening, a nice ambience awaits you at Entusi resort to cap off the day.

Apart from its serene beauty, Lake Bunyonyi is also known as a place for little birds. In fact “Bunyonyi” translates to “place of many little birds”. Lake Bunyonyi encircles 29 islands of various shapes and sizes. Here, you will embark on a canoe trek to enjoy its serene ambiance and breathtaking views, which has made this place synonymous to paradise.

We will also visit the local community in the area and immerse in their culture. This is a chance to visit or volunteer for the underprivileged children of Mwendo where you will be welcomed by traditional dances stemming from its rich history. You can also visit the pygmies community, a member of an ethnic group whose average height is unusually short. An adult man’s average height is less than 150 cm tall.

Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is the highlight of today’s activities. We begin with an informative orientation from the briefing center. The rangers will conduct the briefing then lead you to the forest for a walk in search of Gorillas. The park is home to colobus monkeys, chimpanzees, and birds such as hornbills and turacos. Most notably, half of the world's population of the critically endangered mountain gorillas is found here as well. An up close encounter with the Mountain gorillas is a once in a lifetime experience- a memory that Uganda will leave with you to cherish.

Today, we drive to Hoima Town, a municipal town in the Western Region of Uganda. You will be dropped off at your hotel to rest and prepare for the next day’s activity at Murchison Falls National Park.

Be prepared to meet fifteen southern white rhinos at Ziwa Rhino Santuary, a private, non-profit, animal sanctuary in Uganda. The sanctuary also offers interesting activities including rhino trekking, bird watching, nature walks and relaxation.

This park boasts of the famous Murchison Falls, where the waters of the Nile River squeeze through a narrow gorge. This is also home to a number of mammals and has Uganda's largest population of Nile crocodiles.

While on cruise, you will see Crocodiles, Hippos, and lizards. You will also chance upon Buffaloes, Elephants and Antelopes quenching their thirst and cooling off the heat by the river banks.

Today you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Uganda. You will wake up, checkout and have breakfast before setting off to Uganda via the Katuna or Kyanika borders. You will either have lunch in Kabale Town or Kisoro Town, depending on which border you cross entering Uganda. You will be traveling through what is known as the “Switzerland” of Africa. From Entebbe International Airport in Kampala, we will head west to reach Kibale National Park in Fort Portal. We will take the route towards Mubende which will let us pass through the verdant country side where we can see traditional homesteads, and tea plantations. On the way to Fort Portal town, we will have lunch. Later in the afternoon, we shall then proceed to our lodge to rest.

If your flight arrives later in the day, you can choose to rest first in Kampala for a while. Then, as we head out to Kibale National Park, expect that we will arrive in Fort Portal in the evening already.

CHIMP TRACKING / PRIMATE WALK
After breakfast, we must be at the Kanyanchu Visitors Center at 0800H where the Chimp Tracking activity commences. The hike is seasonal, only during the dry season (January to February, June to September, mid-November to December). It is about 12 kilometers and will take about 2-3 hours. Apart from the chimpanzees which humans share 98% of DNA with, be surprised to see other primates, and a vast rockery of birds. Kibale National Park is has the highest density of primate life in the world and is home to about 375 bird species which include the Grey-Throated Flycatcher, Masked & Black-Capped Apalis. The park also showcases traditionally used plant wildlife. Packed lunch will be prepared by our accommodation.
