Itinerary

Day 01 :
Pick-up in Kigali & Travel to Queen Elizabeth NP via Katuna Border

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport (KGL) in Rwanda, meet your driver for a warm welcome to the Land of a Thousand Hills. He will brief you on the 6-day Gorilla Trek, Queen Elizabeth & Lake Bunyonyi Safari before beginning the adventure journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP) via the Katuna border into Kabale.
Today’s journey takes approximately 5–6 hours in a comfortable 4x4 safari vehicle. Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s second-largest national park, covers 1,978 sq. km.

Day 02 :
Morning Game Drive & Boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel

Start the day with an early breakfast at your lodge, then meet your driver guide for a morning game drive through the Kasenyi Plains. In a 4x4 safari vehicle with a pop-up roof, enjoy excellent views of early risers and large mammals such as lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and antelopes including Uganda kobs, waterbucks, and bushbucks. This special game viewing experience lasts 3–4 hours in the sweeping savannah of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the 40 km Kazinga Channel, which links Lake George and Lake Edward. Over 2–3 hours, expect incredible sightings of hippos, Nile crocodiles, and a variety of aquatic birds such as fish eagles, African skimmers, hornbills, cormorants, yellow-billed storks, and kingfishers.

Day 03 :
Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National park.

After an early breakfast, check out of the lodge and travel to the Ishasha sector, where you’ll witness the rare sight of tree-climbing lions resting in fig trees. Additional wildlife sightings may include elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, and various birds.
After a mini game drive, proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to over 459 mountain gorillas.

Day 04 :
Gorilla Trek & Travel to Lake Bunyonyi – Kabale (for Ultimate Relaxation)

After breakfast, begin your unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure. Attend a briefing on trekking rules, get assigned a gorilla family, and meet your park guide. The trek begins at 8:00 am and can last 2–6 hours. Be sure to bring packed lunch and drinking water.
As you navigate the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, you'll also spot bird species and other wildlife.
Once you locate the gorillas, enjoy one hour of close interaction—observe their behavior and take as many photos as you wish. Afterward, return to park offices for your gorilla trekking certificate. Later, check out and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for a peaceful evening by the lake.

Day 05 :
Canoe Trek/Ride on Lake Bunyonyi

Lake Bunyonyi is a beautiful freshwater lake with 29 islands and is free of crocodiles and hippos, making it perfect for canoeing. Explore one of the islands by canoe and enjoy birdwatching along with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. In the evening, relax at the lodge or take a cultural walk to visit the Batwa or Bakiga communities.

Day 06 :
Transfer to Kigali/Kampala – End of Uganda Safari
