Itinerary
Day 01 :
Visit Kibale National Park
Kibale National Park is located in Kabarole District, Western Uganda, approximately a 5–6-hour drive. Begin your Uganda road trip from Kampala, passing through Mityana, Mubende, and Fort Portal City. Enjoy lunch in Fort Portal before transferring to the park and checking into your lodge.

Day 02 :
Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Wetland Walk – Kabarole
Enjoy a hearty breakfast, then transfer to the Kanyanchu Visitor Center for a briefing on chimpanzee tracking rules. Tracking starts at 8:00 AM, with each group guided by an experienced ranger. Once a chimpanzee community is located, you’ll spend one hour observing and photographing them.
After lunch at 2:00 PM, embark on a 2-hour nature walk through the Bigodi Wetland, spotting various primates, birds, and other mammals.

Day 03 :
Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park & Night Game Drive
After breakfast, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park in Kasese. Along the way, enjoy scenic views of crater lakes, vast banana plantations, and the Rwenzori mountain ranges. After a leisurely lunch at the lodge, head out for a guided night game drive.

Day 04 :
Morning Game Drive & Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel
Set out early for a game drive through the Kasenyi Plains, targeting early risers such as buffaloes, elephants, lions, antelopes, birds, and warthogs.
In the afternoon, embark on a 2–3 hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, with high chances of spotting hippos, crocodiles, and aquatic birds.

Day 05 :
Travel to Bwindi via the Switzerland of Africa

Gorilla Habituation Experience – Rushaga
After an early breakfast, head to Rushaga for the gorilla habituation experience with the Kutu gorilla group. Spend a full day in the forest, including a guaranteed 4-hour encounter with the majestic mountain gorillas, accompanied by park rangers and researchers.

Day 07 :
Travel to Lake Bunyonyi
Drive from Rushaga to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale and spend a relaxing day on the tranquil lakeshore. Lake Bunyonyi, known as the “place of many little birds,” is a scenic gem with 29 islands.

Canoe Trek & Visit Punishment Island
After a hearty breakfast, enjoy a morning canoe ride on Lake Bunyonyi. Visit the historic Punishment Island, where, in the past, girls who became pregnant out of wedlock were abandoned. Learn about this island’s haunting history.

Lake Mburo & Night Game Drive
Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park in Kiruhura District for a night game drive. Expect sightings of nocturnal wildlife, including leopards, hyenas, mongooses, and nocturnal birds.

Guided Walk & Travel to Kampala via the Equator
