Itinerary

Day 01 :
Welcome to Uganda

Meet your group tour leader at Entebbe Airport (EBB) for briefing and pick-up. Afterwards, head to the hotel for evening relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Preferred accommodation in Entebbe:

Day 02 :
Travel to Kibale Forest National Park

Transfer from Entebbe to Kibale Forest National Park, your first destination on this 8-day gorilla tour. Meet your driver-guide and begin your journey via the Kampala–Mityana–Mubende–Fort Portal route, approximately a 6-hour drive.
Stop for lunch at a restaurant or hotel in Fort Portal, and enjoy the cool, refreshing air of this beautiful tourism city. After lunch, you may take a brief tour of the Toro Kingdom, then proceed to check in at your lodge in Kibale or around Fort Portal.

Day 03 :
Chimpanzee Trek & Bigodi Wetland Walk

Begin your day early with an African cup of tea or coffee, then proceed to the Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for briefing.
The chimpanzee trekking session takes 2–4 hours, guided by an expert ranger. Chimpanzees share about 98% of their DNA with humans. During the trek, you’ll observe their daily behaviors, take photos, and possibly see other primates and bird species.
After lunch, enjoy a guided nature walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary.

Day 04 :
Queen Elizabeth National Park & Afternoon Game Drive

Depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s second-largest park, known for its sweeping savannahs and tree-climbing lions.
The drive from Kibale takes about 2–3 hours. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge, enjoy lunch, and relax before heading out on an afternoon game drive along the Kasenyi Track. The game drive takes 2–3 hours, offering chances to see elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, antelopes, birds, lions, warthogs, and leopards.

Day 05 :
Bwindi via Kabale Town

Enjoy a morning cup of coffee, then depart for a 2–3 hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, a recreational experience with views of hippos, crocodiles, birds, and other aquatic species.
Return to the lodge, check out, and begin your transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Kabale Town.

Day 06 :
Gorilla Trek & Lake Bunyonyi

After a hearty breakfast, depart the lodge with packed lunch and bottled water, then head to the park office for a pre-trek briefing. The actual gorilla trek starts at 8:00 am and may last 2–6 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family.
Enjoy one magical hour with the gorillas—observe, photograph, and learn about these incredible creatures.
After the trek, return to the lodge, freshen up, then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, Uganda’s deepest lake. Spend the evening relaxing by the lakeshore and sharing stories with fellow travelers.

Day 07 :
Upside Down Island, Canoe Trek & Batwa Experience

After a relaxed breakfast, embark on a canoe trek to explore Upside Down Island, one of Lake Bunyonyi’s 29 islands.
Along the way, enjoy birdwatching and stunning scenery.
Return for lunch, then in the afternoon, take part in a Batwa cultural experience led by a local guide. Learn about the Batwa pygmies—the original forest dwellers of the Bwindi and Mgahinga areas—their traditions, lifestyle, music, dance, and customs.

Day 08 :
Travel to Kampala or Kigali (Rwanda)

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, then meet your driver for the transfer back to Kampala or cross the Katuna border into Kigali for your departure or hotel drop-off.
